MyWay
01What the app is
MyWay is a personal city exploration app. It records walks and runs, marks visited places on a map and suggests walking routes. No account is needed and the app is free. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions.
02Beta version
MyWay is in beta. Features may change, contain bugs or be removed. The system may interrupt background recording. GPS accuracy and activity detection are not guaranteed. We may change or end the beta at any time.
03Safety on the route
A suggested route is an idea for a walk, not navigation instructions. Map data can be incomplete or outdated. A route may pass through closed, private or dangerous areas. Always watch your surroundings and follow traffic rules, signs and access restrictions. Don't use your phone when it distracts you from the road. You alone decide where to go.
04Your data
Your walk history is stored on your device. You are responsible for keeping it, including backups. Deleting the app or your history may be irreversible. How we handle data is described in Data and privacy.
05Third-party services
Maps and routes rely on third-party services: OpenStreetMap, Apple Maps and openrouteservice. We don't control their availability, accuracy or terms. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, licensed under ODbL. On Android you connect your own openrouteservice key and are responsible for that service's terms and limits.
06Acceptable use
Use MyWay only for personal, non-commercial purposes and in line with the law. Don't use the app to track other people without their consent. Don't put excessive load on map services, for example by bulk-downloading tiles. Don't circumvent the app's technical limits.
07Intellectual property
The app, its name, icon and design belong to Shvets Ventures SIA or are used under licence. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use MyWay on your devices. When installed via the App Store, the Apple Standard EULA also applies. Open-source components are distributed under their own licences.
08Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent permitted by law, MyWay is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that the app will run without interruptions or errors, or that distances, areas and routes will be accurate.
09Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, loss of data, injury or damage related to using the app's routes and data. This doesn't limit liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent, gross negligence and mandatory consumer rights.
10Changes and termination
We may update these terms. A new version takes effect once published on this page. You can stop using MyWay at any time by deleting the app.
11Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. This doesn't deprive you of the protection given by mandatory laws of your country of residence. Disputes are handled by the courts of Latvia unless mandatory rules provide otherwise.
